Botanist Bar: Cocktail #5

There's a reason this cocktail doesn't have a name!  It's experimental!  My new favorite activity is the Experimental Cocktail Night at @botanistbarpdx on Tuesday nights. Robbie throws up his weekly experimental menu and invites all us luckies to take them for a spin. Only $9 per drink and you get to pretend to be a judge on American Cocktail Idol! Last week’s roster was badass, including a Baijiu drink with Thai chiles and blue cheese 👏🏽 I asked Robbie if I could recreate a drink on the menu and decided on this beauty:


Botanist Bar Cocktail #5


1 oz mezcal @banhezmezcalartesanal

.75 oz Ancho Reyes @anchoreyes

.75 oz Cio Ciaro @amaro_ciociaro_official

.75 oz sweet vermouth @cinzaro.official

Cherry bark vanilla bitters


Robbie’s has a beautiful clear ice cube and a gorgeous bar to enjoy it in, so get there immediately! I have a rainy backyard tree to pay a small homage 🌳🌧


This is a great event and a stellar bar that’s a gem in the inimitable Portland cocktail scene 🌟
