2 oz Naked vodka @threeolives, infused with garden cucumber
1 oz tomato red pepper shrub*
.75 oz lime juice
Shake it all up with ice, strain into pretty little glass. Ketchup on the blog for details on the shrubbery! (This may or may not be the worst tomato joke I’ve told today)
The Turkeymingo Club is my friends' tiki bar here in Portland and this drink is dedicated to the many great times we've all had there.
* To make the red pepper shrub, dice up about 12 fresh cherry tomatoes. Put them in a small saucepan with 1/2 cup sugar, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Heat this to a simmer, dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat, add 1/2 cup white vinegar to dissolve. Cool and place in refrigerator. When time to use, strain. You'll want to remove the tomatoes after a couple of days but the shrub should last at least a week.
