I’m still all about my granny drinks, y’all. Ginny and floral, break out the Bingo and fetch me my teeth! This Lemon Drop version was further grannified by some special potions provided by some thoughtful insta buddies:
1.5 oz Tanqueray Malacca gin @tanqueraygin
.75 oz fireweed syrup @migsology
.25 oz gentian amaro @lofiaperitifs
1 oz fresh lemon juice
.25 oz wild rose syrup @thefermentedalaskan
Mix it all up, throw it in the freezer for a few hours. When time of day becomes appropriate (after 8am, say?) shake it like it owes you rent and strain into a chilled glass. 1) I enjoy thee hell out of Tanqueray variations and always grab them when I see a new one! The Malacca is citrusy, with “notes of peppercorn, rose, and clove.” 2) Fire weed is a new thing for me - straight out of Alaska. It’s bright, flowery and a little funky - not unlike many Alaskans I’ve been fortunate enough to come across.
