Rose City Lassi

I am unabashedly in love with the Rose Cordial from local Portland company, Portland Syrups.  Here is a cocktail and a recipe for rose pistachio brittle.
=====
Rose City Lassi
--------
1 cup Greek yogurt 
1.5 oz Tanqueray Rangpur*
1.25 oz Rose Cordial from Portland Syrups
1 tsp honey
3ish dashes cardamom bitters (Scrappy's, also a local Portland company)
Shake rose water
Pistachios/rose pistachio brittle for garnish 🥀

Blend this all up, adjust your sweetness.

 

*Tanqueray Rangpur is the way to go for this recipe. The lime tang gives it the buzz needed to punch up the yogurt and enhance the rose flavor.

 

I used this recipe from Epicurious and made the following adjustments:  substituted water for rose water, reduced salt to 3/4 teaspoon.  I also was a rebel and used salted butter since I thought the rose water

 

might make it too sweet.  Don't be like me - follow the recipe and use unsalted!
